Dr Helen McDougall

MB ChB 1981 Sheff; FRNZCGP 1999

Helen is from the UK, where she met and married Allan when a junior Doctor, after graduating from Sheffield University. A working holiday of 2 years in Invercargill and Hawkes Bay made Helen and Allan head back to NZ in 1987 to become GP’s in Whakatāne.

Interests in medicine are in Womens and family health and chronic conditions.  Helen also works at the High School Clinics and Sexual Health at the Hospital.

Helen can be seen regularly biking to and from work or swimming.  She enjoys keeping fit and being outdoors when not at work.
