I am originally from the North of England and studied medicine in Wales before coming to NZ in 1990 where I trained to be a GP. Following some years working in general practice in the UK and in Auckland, I have finally settled in the South Island which I love.

I enjoy the variety and challenges of rural practice after city life. Married with two adult daughters, my hobbies are tramping, music, cooking and cinema. Most of my spare time however is spent walking and playing with my Border collie, Jess.
