Dr Jochen Clemens

I grew up in Germany and graduated in 1996. During my final year at Duesseldorf University I met my wife Freya. After qualifying we went to work in the UK where I worked in Cardiology, Neurosurgery and A& E before deciding to become a GP. I qualified as a GP in 2001 and worked as a GP principal in Yorkshire until we immigrated to NZ in October 2008. I have worked at the Gore Medical Centre since then and became a partner in the business in autumn of 2009. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a GP trainer for 5th year medical students and GP registrars.
I am keen on hunting and fishing and spend too much time doing these activities, according to my wife.
