Profile

Sue is a Scotland-trained GP who looks after patients across all Tend clinics in Christchurch. She completed both her medical degree and GP training in Scotland and later worked as a partner in a Highlands practice before moving to New Zealand in 2016. Sue has always enjoyed the breadth of general practice and values the chance to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their whānau.
 
Her areas of interest include dermatology, supported by a Diploma in Dermatology completed in Scotland, as well as palliative care and lifestyle medicine. Sue values being able to support patients and families through all stages of life, including end-of-life care, and enjoys helping people improve their wellbeing through sustainable lifestyle changes.
 
She finds great fulfilment in working collaboratively with patients and her wider clinical team to achieve the best outcomes for the community.
 
Outside of work, Sue enjoys keeping fit, playing tennis, gardening, and spending time with her family on their small farm.
