When Should I get my Eyes Checked?

You may find that you are advised to have an eye examination more frequently than you think necessary. Contact lens wearers are advised to be seen every 12 months as they are introducing a foreign object into their eyes most days and need annual checks to ensure there is no damage being done to the surface of their eyes. Other patients are asked to have regular checks where there is a risk of developing an eye disease and your optometrist wants to monitor your vision for signs of change and advise you accordingly.
