Dr Andrew Leong is a GP based at The Fono Central. Born and raised in Penang, Malaysia, he trained as a GP in Singapore. There he ran a partnership with two other GPs in Singapore, which had five clinics including two family clinics. Andrew and his family relocated to New Zealand where he ran his own GP practice in Mt Roskill for over 20 years. After selling his practice and spending a few years in Melbourne, Andrew travelled to East Timor with his wife to work as a GP with local villages. He joined The Fono in June 2015 after moving back to New Zealand and is enjoying being able to spend quality time with his family while working with patients from all walks of life at The Fono Central.
