Profile

Lara grew up in Christchurch. She considers herself fortunate to have had a couple of major careers that have meant she has worked in many places within NZ and overseas. She was an Emergency Nurse prior to attending and graduating from Medical School in Otago. She loves being a doctor and has worked largely in Auckland in General Medicine, Cardiology, Women’s and Sexual health, and now in General Practice. Her medical interests include: Women’s/ Children’s health, Sexual Health and the complexities of chronic condition management. She is confident with IUCD/Jadelle insertions. She has recently attained her Fellowship in General Practice and cannot wait to settle into Dee St and Mount Maunganui itself and explore with her partner, and family. When she has spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading and watching a good movie.
