Profile

I am a Dutch GP. As a General Practitioner I enjoy the great diversity of patients and different medical cases. It is important for me to get to know my patients and build on that relationship for the years to come. I am an all-round doctor for the whole family, and have a special interest in skin disease and minor surgical procedures. 

I arrived in Whakatāne with my wife and two children and we live in beautiful Ōhope. My wife, Cynthia, is also a GP. In previous years I have enjoyed working in the rural settings of Africa and in the city environment of Amsterdam. With our young family we wanted to experience the great outdoors of New Zealand and work in an environment with the chance to get acquainted with a new culture and a variety of patients.
