Profile

Originally from Christchurch I did the first part of my medical degree in Dunedin before completing it in Christchurch.  I graduated in 2001 and have worked in various places in New Zealand and Australia since.

I did a Diploma in Child Health in 2005 and worked in many areas of the Hospital including Women’s Health, Geriatrics, Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine as a preparation for becoming a GP.  I worked as a GP in two clinics in Christchurch from 2007 and moved to Dunedin and joined Broadway Medical Centre in 2013.

I decided to go into General Practice early in my medical career as I enjoy having more long term relationships with patients and working together to make the best informed choices for individual health care.

Outside of the clinic I keep busy teaching at the University of Otago Medical School and looking after my young family of two girls which fills up my spare time.

I enjoy travel and the outdoors as well as relaxing with a good book at home.
