Dr Vimmi Thakur is a General Practitioner based at The Fono South. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in India and worked in clinical and academic areas before immigrating to New Zealand. In New Zealand she has obtained her general practice fellowship from the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice and a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine. She has worked in a variety of roles including with Totara hospice and as a GP at a practice in Howick. At The Fono Manurewa, Vimmi hopes she can contribute to the overall health literacy in South Auckland.
