COVID-19 testing clinics

COVID testing will be done at Stratford Medical Centre (cnr Page and Miranda Streets) between 3pm and 5pm.  This is not a walk in clinic - Patients MUST call 06 765 5454 to make the appointment.  We ask you not to show up without an appointment, as this will help us manage the waiting times better.

There is a pop up clinic at the Stratford War Memorial Hall carpark daily between 12pm and 2pm run by Taranaki DHB.

There is NO CHARGE for testing, it is FREE.

Please note, the testing clinics are only for COVID-19 swab testing and do not provide any other medical treatment, including influenza vaccinations. You need to contact your general practice, doctor or pharmacy for this.

Description

Our purpose is to provide a service which meets the needs of our patients for all aspects of health care for the whole person.  

We offer a full range of high-quality primary care for all ages and conditions, in a warm, friendly environment. Avon Medical Centre is a teaching practice and we regularly have registrars as part of our team.

Our team is made up of GPs (see details below under “General Practitioners”) and other health professionals 

Our Nurse Practicitioner is Wendy and our Clinical pharmacist is Will.
