Patient Portal
A patient portal is a secure online tool provided by GP practices that can allow convenient access to your health information as well as interaction with the practice e.g. booking appointments and requesting repeat prescriptions.
Manage My Health enables you to view your medical information online and communicate with the practice. It’s easy, secure and confidential. You can login from any computer or on your mobile.
The information online includes:
medical conditions
laboratory and Xray results
electronic letters from specialists and hospital
medications
allergies
immunisations
With your consent, medical information can also be accessed by other healthcare providers such as hospital Accident & Emergency staff, outpatient clinics and other doctors you consult urgently after hours.
Manage My Health provides for communication between yourself and the practice, equivalent to a secure email. This is only for routine, non-urgent matters and is not intended to replace face-to-face consultations. You can also book some appointments online.
Access to Manage My Health is free but additional services such as lengthy emails may be charged.
