Covid-19 testing
GP practice - enrolled and casual patients
This practice provides Covid-19 testing to enrolled and casual patients but only if you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or for the purposes of flying overseas. Please call the practice for more information.
Urgent Care Clinic
Our Urgent Care clinics at both Papakura and Takanini are currently testing for COVID-19 ONLY under the following conditions -
- If you have NO symptoms but DO meet any of the current high risk criteria i.e. contact with someone with COVID-19 or high risk contact occupation - you can get a swab at no charge
- If you have any symptoms consistent with the virus i.e. cough, sore throat, breathing difficulties, fever - you can see the Doctor and as part of this you will be swabbed - there is no charge for this
- Non NZ Residents needing a 'fit to fly' for overseas travel - there is a non NZ residents charge for this PLUS a charge for lab testing
- NZ Residents choosing to fly overseas needing a 'fit to fly' - you need to pay the normal Urgent Care charge PLUS a charge for lab testing
We are no longer doing swabs for those with no symptoms and who are not high risk under the criteria
Follow the instructions onsite - if you have respiratory symptoms please wear a mask when coming to the clinics.

Description
We are a general practice aiming to provide quality healthcare to you and your family.
Consultations are by appointment only. Our standard consultation time is 15 minutes.
We currently WELCOME new patients for enrolment.
If you would like information about enrolling in Counties Medical GP Clinic to see one of our GPs, please call into our Papakura or Takanini clinic and one of our staff will be happy to assist you. Our Papakura Clinic is our main clinic, open Monday to Friday, with the satellite Takanini Clinic open two days per week.

We are committed to making the enrolment process easy for you - you can either -
- email us on reception@countiesmedical.co.nz and we can then email you the information and forms you need to complete.
- go to our website www.countiesmedical.co.nz and enrol directly through the website.
We encourage all of our patients to sign up to the Manage My Health patient portal - this is easy and allows you to make appointments on line without having to phone the clinic. You can also request repeat prescriptions and view your Lab Results on line.

Some enrolled patients are eligible for a low cost access fee for GP services of $19.00. Otherwise, the service fee is $40 per GP consultation. There is a standard $40 fee for all new patients for their first visit, which includes both a doctor's and nurse's consultation. Please phone the clinic or enquire at front reception for more information regarding your fees to see the GP or Practice Nurse.
