There are new advances in healthcare being made all the time. As a practice, we try to remain at the forefront of these advances for your benefit. Constant change in healthcare delivery has become normal for most professionals. Here we give some examples of the new innovations and areas of expertise we are developing so that we might improve our service to you.
We are able to enrol new patients for long term care. Casual patients appointments are very restricted however we endeavour to assist visiting relatives of enrolled patients and have an arrangement for our nurses to test and treat children with sore throats at increased risk of rheumatic fever.
Some of our services include:
Women's Healthcare: Our GPs can offer support for the many important aspects of women’s health including menopause, hormonal treatments, breast care, peri/post-natal mental health support and many more.
Asthma Care: Additional annual review nurse check is available.
Skin Care: Skin checks and lesion assessments can be provided by one of our experienced doctors. When required, biopsies and lesion excisions can also be provided without the need for long hospital waitlists.
Diabetes Care: Diabetic annual checks are part of our enhanced service for those people with diabetes. In conjunction with Procare Network Auckland PHO, we aim to reduce the morbidity and heart disease risk for this group. This has already shown benefits to our patients who have better access than ever before to professional advice.
Cardiovascular Risk Screening: Ask about a CVD risk assessment. Our computer shares your [non-identifiable] risk factors, family history, cholesterol and blood pressure results etc with specialist research computer software which provides advice for reduction in cardiovascular risk.
