Description

Matamata Medical Centre is a large, rural practice located in modern, purpose-built premises attached to Pohlen Hospital. MMC is a fully accredited practice under the Cornerstone programme from the Royal NZ College of GPs.

We aim to provide comprehensive family health care to you and your family while you are enrolled with us by our experienced team of GPs and nurses. We welcome your feedback via phone, email or in person through our Management Team.

Staff

Our team is made up of GPs (see details below under “Doctors”), Paramedics, Nursing staff, Medical Centre Assistants (MCAs) and Reception staff.

Our teams are led by our Clinical Services Manager, Cathie Sheely, and our Operations & Finance Manager, Tim Hillier.

We are accepting enrolments for patients in our local area.  Patients in the following postcodes are welcome to enrol with us - 3400 Matamata; 3401 Waharoa; 3471; 3472; 3473; 3474; 3475.

After hours: We partner with Ka Ora Telecare to provide same day virtual GP appointments for enrolled patients, as an extension of our regular medical centre team.  

Ka Ora Telecare is available weekdays from 5pm to 8.30am and 24/7 weekends/public holidays.
