Description

Matamata Medical Centre is a large, rural practice located in modern, purpose-built premises attached to Pohlen Hospital. MMC is a fully accredited practice under the Cornerstone programme from the Royal NZ College of GPs.

We aim to provide comprehensive family health care to you and your family while you are enrolled with us by our experienced team of GPs and nurses. We welcome your feedback via phone, email or in person through our Practice Manager.

Staff

Our team is made up of GPs (see details below under “Doctors”), Paramedics, Nursing staff, Medical Centre Assistants (MCAs) and Reception staff.

Our teams are led by our Clinical Services Manager, Cathie Sheely, and our Operations & Finance Manager, Tim Hillier.

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Mon – Fri 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Sat – Sun 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Weekend hours are for urgent walk in clinic only. Outside these hours please refer to on call clinician.

After Hours:

Phone our main number 07 881 9102 and you will be transferred to an after hours service who will triage you and provide the next steps.

Our on-call clincian is usually not in the clinic.  Please do not attend our clinic after hours without prior arrangment with our after hours team.

Public Holidays: Closed ANZAC Day (25 Apr), King's Birthday (3 Jun), Matariki (28 Jun), Labour Day (28 Oct), Auckland Anniversary (27 Jan), Waitangi Day (6 Feb), Good Friday (18 Apr), Easter Monday (21 Apr). Open Easter Sunday (20 Apr).
