Covid-19 testing
GP practice - enrolled and casual patients
This practice provides COVID-19 testing to enrolled and casual patients depending on staff availability and time. Casual patients are required to register before being tested. Please call the practice for more information. Please wait in the car and call 09 837 0740 or mobile 021 0896 4606 and advise your mobile phone number and car registration.
To prevent infection and if patients need to see doctor for other health issues and have flu, cough, sore throat, respiratory symptoms, patients must remain in their cars and call reception 09 837 0740 / 021 0896 4606 on arrival. Doctors will call you when they are ready to see you. Masks are required when attending clinic.
Ratanui Medical is not opened on Sundays and if you are travelling on the weekend, it is advisable to have your test with a centre that is opened during weeks as your test may be delayed and your results may not arrive back on time for our doctor to provide the documentation.

Description
We are a general practice aiming to provide quality healthcare for all patients, with an emphasis on health education and preventative medicine.
Consultations are by appointment only. Our standard consultation time is 15 minutes.
We run 'Acute' Clinics with 2 doctors (1 for Acutes and 1 for Respiratory) between 9am-12pm and 2pm-6pm Monday-Friday for one issue only. One Quick Clinic doctor runs the COVID 19 testing/swabbing, for patients with coughs, sore throat, flu and respiratory symptoms. The other doctor takes care of the other patients without flu symptoms. Saturday clinic from 9am-12pm is a walk in clinic with no appointments.
For Appointments for respiratory or flu symptoms/issues, please phone 09 837 0740 or mob 021 0896 4606 on arrival and remain in your car until the doctor calls you. This is to prevent infection and patients are required to wear a face mask.
Staff
Our team is made up of 10 GPs and Dr Caldwell is retired but works as a Casual when we are short staffed (see details below under “Doctors”).
