Please call us to make an appointment on (09) 236 8068

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important step you can take to protect yourself, your kaumātua and whānau from the effects of the virus. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccines and eligibility visit Ministry of Health - COVID-19 vaccines

The majority of routine vaccinations can now be administered before, after, or at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccinations. The exception to this is the Zostavax (shingles) vaccine where a 7-day gap before or after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 is advised. If you have any questions, please discuss with your health provider.

Welcome to Tuakau Health Centre.

We are a rural practice situated in the heart of Franklin, approximately 50 minutes south of Auckland.

Our practice started out 25 years ago as a solo GP practice situated a little further down George Street. At the end of 2000, due to the growth of our practice, we moved into a brand new modern, purpose built surgery which was larger and closer to the CBD of Tuakau.

We are a teaching practice.

We have five GPs and a Nurse Practitioner. They are: Dr Lorna Buhler and Dr Julia Lyons who are co-directors, as well as Dr Angela Wagner, Dr Mark Eustace, and Dr Ivan Gannaway as well as a Registrar and Jo Eustace our NP. They all provide a variety of patient centred services as well as general medical consultations. Each has his/her own special interest.

We offer a wide variety of services including general medical consultations, minor surgical procedures, routine immunisations, travel immunisations, sexual health (U22) clinics, women's health clinics, diabetic clinics, spirometry, ECGs, diabetic retinal screening clinics, diabetic dietitian clinics and blood taking services.

We are currently accepting new patients.
