Waitakere Union Health
Primary Healthcare Service
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Waitakere Union Health Centre is a low cost GP clinic, located on the grounds of Waitakere Hospital, on Lincoln Rd. The service was established in 1988, by the Union Movement, led by Mark Goeshe. We are a Cornerstone accredited family practice.
To provide high quality, affordable primary healthcare services which are responsive to the needs of the individual, their family and the community, with a focus on long term wellness and empowerment.
We are a walk-in clinic so no appointments necessary. Please phone us to enrol you and your family at our clinic. If you are concerned about waiting times, please see reception, or feel free to ring before coming in – we will let you know how long the wait is likely to be. Our doctors and nurses respond quickly to emergencies, and this may cause delays in our system – we will let you know if this occurs while you are waiting. Some clients have urgent health needs – these patients have been placed in a priority system and will be seen ahead of others.
Our Centre has specialty clinics for nutrition, women’s health, diabetes, and heart disease. Cervical smear tests are provided FREE of charge. We also offer contraception advice, drivers’ medicals, as well as the services described below.
