Covid-19 testing

Urgent Care Clinic

The Papakura Urgent Care is open 7 days a week 8am to 10pm.

COVID-19 swabbing – We are now in Level One.

If you have -

  • NO symptoms consistent with COVID 19 and do NOT meet any of the risk criteria – we are NOT currently swabbing
  • NO symptoms but do meet any of the criteria i.e. in contact with someone with COVID or high risk occupation, you can get a swab from the nurse at no charge. Bring your SURV code if you have it.
  • Any symptoms consistent with the virus and are unwell needing to see a Doctor, you will get a COVID-19 swab as part of your consultation – there is no charge for this.

If you need a COVID swab so that you can fly overseas –

  • Non NZ Residents pay for the consultation at the NON NZ residents charge, documents and swab
  • NZ Residents choosing to fly also must pay the normal Urgent Care charge and the lab processing fee

 Keeping safe -

  • We ask that if you have a cough, runny nose, fever or sore throat that you wear a mask when coming to see us and while in the waiting room.
  • Please make sure you hand sanitise when arriving and when leaving the clinic.

Testing for Travel

This clinic provides pre-departure testing for people who are travelling.

  • Non NZ Residents pay for the consultation at the NON NZ residents charge, documents and swab
  • NZ Residents choosing to fly also must pay the normal Urgent Care charge and the lab processing fee

Covid testing hours

8:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Mon – Fri8:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Currently COVID-19 testing is only done on patients who present with symptoms and who see the Doctor OR patients with no symptoms but who have been in close contact with a known positive case OR work in an at risk occupation.

Fit to Fly COVID testing is also carried out - please ask at reception or phone the clinic for information about COVID testing for overseas flights - there is a charge for this testing including a laboratory charge to process the swab.

Public Holidays: Open on all public holidays. The following public holidays differ to standard opening hours: Labour Day (25 Oct, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Auckland Anniversary (31 Jan, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Waitangi Day (Observed 7/2/22) (7 Feb, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Good Friday (15 Apr, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Easter Sunday (17 Apr, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Easter Monday (18 Apr, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM), ANZAC Day (25 Apr, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Queen's Birthday (6 Jun, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM).
