Description

The Doctors Red Beach is a 7 day a week Urgent Care facility, and family friendly General Practice.

Our General Practice provides appointments for our enrolled patients, offering medical services to promote wellness for you and your family.  Our dedicated team of GPs & practice nurses are there to provide support around women's and men's health, child and youth health, long-term conditions (including diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular disease).

Our Urgent Care offers medical treatment for more acute and urgent matters, and is also available to non-enrolled patients.

We are located in the Red Beach Shopping Centre next to the pharmacy.

COVID-19 UPDATES

You can still have an appointment with your GP - just a little differently!

As part of the COVID-19 response, and in order to minimise the spread of respiratory illnesses this winter, we will ask you if you have any cough, cold, or flu-like symptoms when you visit the clinic.  This does not mean that we think you have COVID-19, it's simply a small step we are taking to ensure we continue to keep New Zealanders and our community safe and healthy.

You can book a consultation either by calling the clinic on 09 427 9130, or by booking online on ConnectMed, our patient portal.  Your GP will either provide the care you need with a telephone consultation if appropriate, or may suggest a video consultation - they will also advise you if you should come into the practice to be seen.  If you come into the clinic, we will ask you to wear a face mask as part of our processes to keep everyone safe :)

Please note: Our team of health professionals are trained to provide you with care in many forms, and standard fees apply to all consultations, whether phone, video, in-practice or email.

OUR URGENT CARE CLINIC IS OPEN, and we are available to look after you for accidents and injuries, and other unexpected illness.

On advice from the Ministry of Health, and a number of health organisations, we are increasing our patient triage and screening processes, and are changing the way we look after you.
Our purpose is to achieve the following:

  • Keep vulnerable people safe – this means people over 70, those with weaker immune systems, and people with underlying respiratory conditions (e.g. COPD, asthma)
  • Slow the spread – by reducing unnecessary contact with one another
  • Keep our patients safe
  • Keep our team safe
Slowing down the spread of the disease is vital to protect people’s health and to ensure our health system can cope and look after New Zealanders who become sick, and this is why we need to change how we do things for a while.
