Mr Fred Phillips

Fred lives and works in Wellington, and is a fully trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Hip and Knee surgery.

He trained in Wellington and Perth, Western Australia.

Fred performs Hip replacement, Resurfacing, Revision and Hip Arthroscopic surgery as well as Knee Replacement, Revision, Arthroscopy and Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction.

Fred has a special interest in robotic surgery and performs this at Bowen and Southern Cross Hospitals.

Fred has undertaken fellowships in Computer Navigated Joint Replacement, Revision Hip and Knee Surgery and further training in Hip Resurfacing and Hip Arthroscopy.

Fred is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association and an International Affiliate Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

He is also a member of the New Zealand Hip Society, New Zealand Knee Society and the International Society of Hip Arthroscopists.
