Free community based services to help you stop smoking

The service is available in the Waitematā district delivered collaboratively by ProCare and The Fono. Primarily their focus is to support Māori, Pacific and pregnant women who smoke but they will also help all smokers who have decided to stop smoking and set a quit date. Service includes home visits, group or one to one support and free NRT.

The Quit Group offer a free telephone support line, and also provide  NRT.  They have a website where you can find out more about the other services they offer, like Māori and Pacific advisors, Text2Quit and their online message board service.  www.quit.org.nz

 

Asian Smokefree Communities:  0508quitnow (0508 784 866) or email Free, successful, quit smoking service supporting Asian people and their families who reside in the Waitematā district to become smokefree. The service includes free home visits, phone/email/text support and subsidised NRT.  Coordinators speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean (interpreters for other languages are also available).
