Congratulations on your pregnancy!
No doubt this is an exciting time for you and your family. I have three children of my own which, like many midwives, was the catalyst to me pursuing a career in midwifery. I studied at AUT and have a Bachelor of Health Science (Midwifery) and a Graduate Diploma in Business.
Choosing the right midwife is important. Luckily in West Auckland there are lots of great midwives so you are bound to find a good match. My practice is evidence based and woman-centered. I believe my job is to give you the appropriate information to support your decision making as ultimately this is your journey. I do not advocate unnecessary intervention however I tend to err on the side of caution. Accordingly I deliver at Waitakere, or BirthCare Parnell.
Providing culturally safe and quality care is important so I only take a small case load of women each month. I would be privileged to share this experience with you.
