Allied Health - Nutrition & Dietetics Team Clinical Support

Nutrition and Dietetic Services provide cover across all adult wards at Auckland City Hospital, renal services and outpatients. Dietitians use scientific evidence about food and nutrition and translate it into practical strategies to support a person’s optimal health and well-being. A Dietitian will work in partnership with an individual and their whānau and provide nutrition assessment, education, intervention and monitoring tailored for their needs.

Monday to Friday within the hospital Dietitians are available to assess inpatients considered to require nutrition support such as parenteral (intravenous), enteral or supplementary nutrition drinks or special diets.  There is also a Dietitian available on weekends and public holidays for enteral feeding who can be contacted on 021 753 089

For Outpatients please referrals are required from a doctor or Dietitian and these should be sent to the ADHB Central Referrals Office at Greenlane Clinical Centre.
