I am a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgeon working in private practice. My practice is based in Pukekohe where I see patients from the North Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland. I offer surgery in Pukekohe (local anaesthetic procedures and appearance medicine from my rooms in Roulston Street) and Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand and Aesthetic Surgery under general anaesthesia or regional block at the Franklin Private Hospital.
My philosophy is to approach my patients' care holistically and to tailor treatments alone and in combination to achieve each patient's goal. I talk to and try to educate my patients so as to empower them to make informed decisions about their care.
I operate across the full range of hand surgery procedures, but have a special interest and 25 years' experience in managing Dupuytren's disease.
I welcome referrals for any aspect of plastic and reconstructive surgery. My special interests are skin oncology (for which I have trained and qualified as a dermoscopist and run a full skin assessment and total body photography service) and plastic surgery of the breasts and abdomen in particular. I also have extensive experience in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery after massive weight loss and with the challenges that patients face with wound healing and nutrition after stomach surgery.
I operate a very personal practice; every surgical or non-surgical treatment is planned and administered by me – not a nurse or an aesthetician. If you entrust your treatment to me, then you and your wellbeing become my personal responsibility. That said, I have surrounded myself with a team of expert nurses and health care assistants who help me make our patients' experience the very best that it can be.
Many patients seeking appearance rejuvenation do not require surgery, but can achieve the cosmetic restoration and aesthetic enhancement they desire by judicious administration of non-surgical treatments. I administer the full range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments, such as Botox®, facial peels or dermal and soft tissue fillers. I also administer laser and intense pulsed light treatments where appropriate.
For those patients who are suitable for cosmetic surgery, I plan and perform such surgery with care and expertise in order to improve your appearance and restore the natural beauty of your youth. I believe surgery should achieve natural, attractive results that avoid an 'operated look', whilst giving you a restored, or aesthetically enhanced physical beauty.
