Whāraurau: Empower the Workforce | Manaaki Mokopuna Whāraurau is a national workforce development centre for the infant, child, and adolescent, mental health and addictions sector and has offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. We are part of the Wise Group whānau of entities, which is governed by the Wise Charitbable Trust. The Wise Group is one of New Zealand's largest non-government organisations providing mental health, addiction, and wellbeing services across Aotearoa. Funded by Government, Whāraurau aims to improve the mental health of New Zealand's young people by: Providing training and support to mental health and addiction professionals Promoting research in child and adolescent mental health Advocating for the mental health and addiction needs of young New Zealanders Our work is evidence-based, and informed by national and international subject matter experts, including clinicial, cultural and youth-lived experience. The team at Whāraurau have expertise in many areas of infant, child and adolescent mental health.
