Dr Chen Luo

Chen is working with us specialising in minor surgery.

Chen graduated from the University of Auckland in 2011 and enjoys all areas of General Practice with postgraduate qualifications in children and women's health. His special interests are in sleep medicine and surgery. He particularly enjoys building long-term relationships with families in general practice. He practices holistic medicine with a background in medical research and evidence-based medicine. He has recently attained Fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Chen is currently contracted by the Waitemata District Health Board as a Skin Cancer specialist to perform Skin surgery at Medplus in Takapuna and at Family Doctors in Whangaparoa. He will be commencing his Masters in Skin Cancer Medicine in 2018, building on his post graduate qualifications in this area from the University of Queensland. He is one of the doctors managing the Traveller's Health Clinic at Medplus.

Chen enjoys being physically active with an interest in cycling, tramping and previously marathon running. He practices mindfulness and enjoys playing modern board games.

Chen is also able to consult in Mandarin. His patient list is currently open to new patients at Medplus. He looks forward to meeting you.
