Dr Lameijer completed his radiology residency and fellowship in general radiology with a special interest in interventional radiology at the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
After his training, he completed an Interventional Oncology fellowship in the Royal Marsden Hospital London Hospital, Europe’s largest comprehensive cancer centre, and the UK’s only level 3 cancer care centre.
Following this, he joined Christchurch Hospital for a fellowship in vascular and non-vascular radiology in 2022, followed by a position as Consultant Interventional Radiologist. He received his internationally recognised EBIR (European Board of Interventional Radiology) certification in October 2023.
Dr Lameijer uses minimally invasive techniques to optimise patient experience, achieving results with minimal burden for the patient. He practices within the Interventional Radiology department at Christchurch Hospital and often collaborates with the Christchurch Vascular Group (CVG) in St. George’s hospital to perform vascular surgery procedures.
Dr Lameijer ensures that each patient receives the highest standards of care by close collaboration with colleagues, chairing multidisciplinary meetings and continuing education in the latest techniques and devices.
