Dr Glenys Round holds several qualifications in palliative medicine including a Fellowship of the Chapter of Palliative Medicine from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a qualification in paediatric palliative care.  She has previously worked as a palliative medicine specialist at Waipuna Hospice part time, a position she will resume later this year. 

Glenys has extensive experience in the management of breast and gynaecological malignancies.  She holds memberships in the Waikato and Lakes Multidisciplinary Breast and Gynaecological teams, ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group, Waikato Breast Cancer Trust Executive Board and is a member of NZ Breast and Gynaecological Oncology Special Interest Groups.

Glenys has an interest in undergraduate training and has facilitated numerous registrar teaching programmes.
