Fale Pasifika Women's Refuge supports all women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.
We provide free and confidential services within Fale Pasifika Women's Refuge:
- 24/7 Crisis Line - Our 24-hour crisis line service operates 7 days a week, including public holidays.
- Safe House - We offer safe and confidential residential housing in response to immediate high-risk women and children experiencing family violence.
- Whānau Protect - This service provides victims of domestic/family violence with security alarms within their homes. This service is attached to the police to respond immediately.
- Community Service - Our service also expands to Pasifika families within the Auckland community who are in need of advocacy support.
- Transitional Housing - Transitional housing service offers temporary housing to all families (regardless of ethnicity) experiencing homelessness. To access this service, you must be referred by MSD.
- Kokiri Nga Rito - Children's Pilot Programme - This service is specific to children entering safe-house residential. This provides an opportunity for all children experiencing family violence to have their voices heard as well as an opportunity to unpack their journeys safely.
- KAFA Men's Programme - We have created a targeted programme for Pasifika men who use violence within their families. Through our Pasifika Values and Practices, this initiative effectively provides a safe space for men to confront their challenges and fully understand the impacts of their violent behaviours on women and children. This cultural approach is effective in reminding our men to apply the values of Faka'apa'apa, Tauhī Va, and Talanoa to create safer environments for their families.
