Dr Hermann Van Der Vyver

Dr Hermann van der Vyver has experience in Africa as a General Practitioner and Hospital Senior Medical Officer.

Since qualifying as a Clinical Oncologist, he has worked 16 years at Waikato Oncology Unit, enjoying the diversity of Radiation Oncology but fortunate enough to have been supported by the unit in accruing more knowledge in Upper and Lower GI cancers; Gynae with brachytherapy and Urological cancers.

Now in Palmerston North, Hermann’s clinical interests include CNS and Lungs cancers, and appreciates challenges they present. He enjoys the high standard of the unit as well as the being part of such a dedicated team.
