Ash completed his medical studies at the University of Auckland in 2014. He worked as a junior doctor in the Auckland region before several years of General Practice in the Bay of Plenty. He undertook specialty radiology training in Tauranga and Auckland and was awarded RANZCR fellowship in 2024. He is currently undertaking a fellowship in Oncology and Molecular imaging at Allevia Radiology.
