What is Dermatology?
Dermatology is a branch of medicine dealing with the skin and its diseases. The skin is the biggest organ of the body and impacts on people in many different ways from skin cancer, lumps and bumps and rashes that can have a significant impact on individuals and their families. Making the correct diagnosis early is crucial as this can avoid unnecessary suffering and may alter your treatment. A medical doctor who specialises in this field is called a Specialist Dermatologist. With over 20 years experience, Dr Juber Hafiji is happy to manage all aspects of skin disease and to help your skin return to its best health.
Staff
Dr Juber Hafiji (Dermatologist) and his team of 2 receptionists, laboratory technician, Medical Secretary, Practice Manager, and 3 dermatology nurses.
As a Specialist Dermatologist with 20 years experience, Dr Juber Hafiji will address your concerns and adopt a holistic approach to your care. Whether it is a concern about a mole, a sore that fails to heal, a rash or a condition that affects the hair, nails or genital region, Dr Hafiji and his team will tailor the treatment which is best for you and your skin. Samples of the skin are usually taken to examine the skin tissue under a microscope and help make a diagnosis. The laboratory results will help guide the best course of treatment for you which Dr Hafiji will discuss with you.
Dr Hafiji and his team understand that access to specialist dermatology expertise in a timely fashion when you need it most can be difficult. For this reason, if you are concerned about any skin related matter, then you don't need to see your GP for a referral. Simply call the Dermatology Hawke's Bay team for an appointment.
