Philosophy of care: I feel that it is a privilege to work with women and their families and value the opportunity to offer maternity care during your pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey – continuity of care is important during such a special time.
Back up midwives: we all back each other up at Wise Tree.
Birth facilities attended: home birthing, Papakura & Botany Primary Birthing Units and Middlemore Hospital.
General: congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Maree. I am a recently registered Lead Maternity Carer who enjoys working in the South Auckland community. Previously I worked for Middlemore Hospital. I am a mother and grandmother. I work with a small group of midwives who provide back-up care if I am unavailable. We share a strong philosophy of promoting normal birth. I have an antenatal clinic in Manurewa.
