Profile

Congratulations on finding yourself on the journey to motherhood. I believe pregnancy and childbirth are normal life events and should be protected and celebrated as such. Working as a hospital based core midwife I missed the continuity of care that LMC midwifery practice allows, caring for women from the early antenatal period right through delivery into the postnatal period until discharge at four to six weeks following birth. I aim to work in full partnership with each woman which I do by giving and sharing information so each woman can make informed choices on her pregnancy journey.

I have been a registered midwife since 1998; I graduated in the UK and worked as a staff midwife at two busy maternity units. I moved to NZ in 2005 and became a staff midwife at North Shore Hospital. More recently I have been working here at Maternity Associates as our practice manager and as an LMC at our experienced midwifery practice. I am married to Norman and we have three daughters. In my spare time I love to do things with my family and walk our dogs.

I look forward to being a part of your pregnancy journey.
