Auckland Midwife Services - Sam Savage

Midwifery Service

Hi my name is Sam and I would like firstly to congratulate you on soon becoming a mother, and embarking on an exciting and life changing journey. While a registered nurse, I gave birth to my beautiful son, aided by a midwife. Her care and positive influence during that event inspired me to want to give other women the same wonderful care and attention she first gave to me and then to my son.

My experience includes working as a midwife at National Women’s, working with the High Risk Team, the Community Midwifery Team and in the post-natal wards, as well as having previously worked at Auckland Hospital in the Neurosurgical Ward, in the Special Care Baby Unit and as a District Nurse as a Registered Nurse.

Working with pregnant mothers is something I am passionate about and I like to take the time to really get to know each of my clients. I believe that I possess great empathy and warmth towards the whole process of childbirth and will respect and collaborate with the wishes, whenever possible, of the expectant mother.

I am meticulous and believe that paying attention to detail is of paramount importance. Safety and partnership are integral components of my practice.

I look after mothers across the West Auckland region.

My back up midwive is Gemma Cleary- 0211167575
