“E te tau, whaia e koe nga toi a Hineiwaiwa, kia whiwhi ai koe he mararamatanga mohou. E te whanau, e taria iho ra te whakatakoto takapau wharikitanga; taupuhipuhitia, tauawhiawhitia te whare tangata me ona ahuatanga katoa”. Kia ora. I’m of TeArawa, Tuwharetoa, Tainui, Raukawa descent, practising in Rotorua and its surrounding areas since 1997. As a community midwife I provide full midwifery care. I love working alongside mama & their whanau; in strengthening healthy life choices and to be actively involved through pregnancy (haputanga), labour (whakamamaetanga), birth (whakawhanautanga) and the postnatal period (tiakanga tamariki). I hold antenatal clinics at the Kia Puawai Whare, 1 Brookland Rd and do home-visits after baby is born. Other support services at the KP Whare include a lactation consultant, hapu teenager support, smoking cessation, transport, extra support for first time mama, as well as registered nurses & visiting JP.
