I have been a midwife for over 20 years and have been Community Midwife in Franklin since 2017, I love my job! I'm working with a lovely group called Pukekohe Midwives, we are a diverse and experienced team supporting each other and provide back up so we can have alternate weekends off which is important for us and our families.
I enjoy the continuity of care my role gives me, I get to know your individual needs and can support birth with minimal intervention for the well woman at Pukekohe Birthing Unit or Home but am happy to continue providing care at Middlemore Hospital should you need that due to complications that may arise during your pregnancy or because of prior obstetric/medical history.
My clinics are on Monday afternoons and Friday mornings at Pukekohe Hospital.
Ideally, we first meet at around 8-10 weeks to do your booking which can take about an hour where we then make a plan for your care. After that appointments are 30mins long and initially we meet once a month, the frequency of visits will increase in the 3rd trimester.
Following the birth and your initial postnatal stay I will continue to provide care for you and baby at your home until your discharge to GP at around 5-6 weeks following the birth.
If you wish to make contact, you can email or txt me and I will reply as soon as I am able.
How To Make An Appointment
If you would like to book with me, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or alternatively txt me on 0273218855.
I will endeavour to reply within the day.
