I have been a Midwife for 30 years. Until moving to Pukekohe I spent the majority of my career working in busy hospitals but the last 7 years have been a joy working in our birthing unit, supporting and encouraging natural birth alongside my supportive team.
I support women to birth at our lovely birthing unit here in Pukekohe, if necessary I can refer to Middlemore for specialist input when needed. I love being a Self Employed Community Midwife and building relationships with my ladies and their families, it's such a privilege to share this journey with you.
Due to the 24/7 nature of midwifery, my team of 5 experienced and diverse midwives at Franklin Midwives work well together to provide support for our women and each other, which in turn enables us to take alternative weekends off to help us maintain a good work/life balance.
I take a small caseload that allows me to provide continuity of care, I also run my clinics at Franklin Midwives Clinic, 5 Glasgow Rd, Pukekohe on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings.
