Profile & Philosophy of Care
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I am a mature midwife who has been providing Lead Maternity Care (LMC) in West Auckland since 2005 & have found it a privilege to walk alongside you through your birth experience. I provide Maternity Care at Waitakere Maternity Unit, North Shore Maternity Unit, Parnell Birthcare & Auckland Women's Hospital for higher risk maternity care. I believe pregnancy & birth to be a holistic, natural & empowering part of your life. I am passionate about pregnancy & birth; my aim is to provide you with the information necessary to make informed decisions. I will organise all aspects of your antenatal, labour, birth & postnatal care. My years of experience transfer through in a calm, professional & compassionate manner and my training allows me to recognise when events deviate from normal so I can provide you with the safest birth for you & your baby. I have no hesitation in referring you to Specialist Obstetric care if it becomes necessary & I have an excellent working relationship with hospital obstetricians & midwives. I practise autonomously however I also work with two excellent backup midwives who are caring & compassionate: Lis Good & Lorraine Milne who may be involved in your care at some stage.
I shall contact you during normal working hours & thank you for your understanding. I look forward to hearing from you.
For women from West Auckland who find travelling to my New Lynn Clinic too far, I provide home visits.
Bethells Beach, Glendene, Glen Eden, Green Bay, Henderson, Henderson North, Kaurilands, Kelston, Massey, New Lynn, Oratia, Ranui, Royal Heights, Sunnyvale, Te Atatu South, Te Atatu Peninsula, Titirangi, Westgate, West Harbour, Woodlands Park, Avondale
