In the Northern Region, anyone who requires further details or clarification can contact ADIO on (09) 356 7373 or call your local needle exchange.
Our Hep C Clinic at 10 East Street, Newton is free and welcomes walk-ins, no appointment necessary. We do finger prick testing Mon to Fri from 10.00am - 5.00pm and occasional evenings and Saturdays.
Our peer workers offer free Hep C tests (rapid fingerprick tests) and eligible clients get a $30 Woolworths voucher. No appointment needed, just walk-in. We offer support if you test positive and can also test you if you are antibody positive with a further finger prick test (instead of going to a lab for a blood test). We also refer you to a local health professional (Pharmacist) who will follow up and organise treatment if required.
We link you to free treatment for Hep C (the new cure MAVIRET for all Hep C types) and our peer workers support our clients throughout the course of treatment.
Address: 10 East Street, Auckland
ADIO South, ADIO Wellsford and NINE (Whangārei) : we refer clients to the local Pharmacy where they can get a $30 voucher if eligible for a free test.
Our peer works at our four needle exchanges in the Midland Region. Also offers point-of-care finger prick testing and refers anyone needing further tests or treatment to local nurses.
