Description
Auckland City Mission helps people recover from alcohol and other drug use and abuse, providing a range of services, including assessment, Residential Social Detoxification (Detox) and Community Alcohol and Drug Workers.
Staff
Staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of Registered AOD Practitioners, Support Workers, and Peer Support.

'Social Detox' is Auckland’s only residential, non-medical alcohol and drug detoxification service. Located on Level 3 of the Homeground building at 140 Hobson St, Auckland CBD. The service provides professional, confidential advice, support and advocacy. Staff facilitate group educational sessions, provide access to community and recreational services and run relaxation workshops. Clients are asked to contribute $30 per night, which goes toward the cost of providing food and accommodation. For WINZ clients, this can be deducted from their benefits.
