Detox and rehabilitiation services support people either through therapy or medical intervention to reduce alcohol or drug use.  

Hospital medical detox programmes are a planned way for people to withdraw from alcohol and/or drug addiction, using medications that will help the process. These programmes can be delivered in hospital, to provide extra medical support.
