Staff

The consultation liaison psychiatry service is made up of consultant psychiatrists, registrars, mental health nurses and a psychologist.

We provide advice to the general hospital staff to support your mental health needs while you receive treatment for your physical health. Treatments and care we provide: advice and support to the general hospital wards mental state and cognitive testing facilitating and liaising with other mental health services involved in individuals needs support with referring to external services for ongoing treatment and support for mental health.

Referrals to Wellington Hospital:
External referrals should be directed to Te Haika, our 24/7 mental health and addiction contact centre (phone 0800 745 477).

Referrals to Hutt Hospital:
External referrals should be directed to Consult Liaison Team (phone 04 566 6999 Hutt Hospital switchboard ext 8514 or )
