Formerly 3DHB - Regional Personality Disorder Service (RPDS)

We provide specialist mental health services in the treatment of people who present with persistent patterns of unstable affect, interpersonal or relationship difficulties, chronic self-harm, suicidal behaviours and complex trauma responses.

The regional personality disorder services is a small multidisplinary team. We work with other clinicians, and sometimes clients, with a strong recovery focus. Our service mainly support mental health clinicians via specialist assessment, forming options, treatment planning, supervision and education. As a regional service we support other DHBs outside the Wairarapa DHB, Hutt Valley DHB and Capital and Coast DHB in their work with people with personality problems. All referrals to our service are through clinicians who work for the mental health, addictions, and intellectual disability service (MHAIDS).
