Our service is funded by Health New Zealand in conjunction with the Ministry of Social Development under the Residential Support Subsidy.

Supportive Accommodation and Community Support

We provide supportive accommodation for men and women with alcohol and drug related problems seeking a safe recovery situation. Our services, for people for whom accommodation is not their primary need, include: Admission as part of Assessment & Recovery planning Pre-admission accommodation in preparation for Residential Treatment Post-completion of Residenital Treatment to support the transition and re-integration into full independent living The Support House offers a safe, alcohol and drug-free living environment with experienced staff assisting in getting your recovery from addiction underway. Family & Partners Involving family is crucial in maintaining the positive changes you will make at the Support House. It is imperative that members of your family and your supporters understand the processes of addiction and recovery and how they can respond in the most helpful ways. This collective approach has proven to be vital in sustaining recovery. Support for families Many families and significant others struggle to deal with their loved one's addiction and subsequent fall out. We are able to provide referral for individual counselling to strengthen the family as a whole. For support and information, call the Trust Director to discuss the services we offer.

Referral Process

You are welcome to contact us directly to discuss your requirements. We can also be contacted by an individual's GP or outpatient addiction service case-worker.

To help your decide if we are the right service for you at this time, you can request further information on how the Support House works. If you believe the Support House is what you need, we'll arrange a time for you and your family/whānau to visit the house prior to your acceptance and admission.
