Referral Process

Self-referrals are accepted as well as referrals from support services.

  • You can contact us to find out more information about our service, vacancies and to discuss a referral

  • You are required to fill in a referral form and email it to Easyaccesshousing@atareira.org.nz

  • You will be expected to attend an Assessment Interview

  • Based on the information we receive, and your interview, we will determine your eligibility for the service and notify you of the outcome.

If eligible, when a vacancy arises, you will have an opportunity to view the room and accept or decline our Offer of Housing.

Easy Access Housing has been responding to the needs of homeless people in Wellington since 2003.  We offer two houses which provide emergency accommodation for up to 12 weeks as well as three houses providing transitional accommodation for up to 6 months.

While staying in an Easy Access Housing home, residents take care of their own basic living needs, including:

- personal hygiene

- cleaning and cooking

- transport etc

Staff will work alongside residents to develop a Housing Action Plan to work towards finding future accommodation.‚Äč

We encourage the support that residents receive from other services during their time with Easy Access Housing.
