Referral Process

To access CBCT services you may be required to have a current Needs Assessment and/or specialist service referral. However we can also accept self-referrals into some services and can also assist you in having a referral form completed.

CBCT offers a Child and Youth Community Support Service to individuals under the age of 20 who experience mental health issues and are living within the community.

Aim: To maximise the strengths of children and young people affected by mental health issues and to promote well-being in all aspects of their lives.

Some of the things your Community Support Worker will do:

  • Listen to your hopes and dreams.
  • Support you to develop and reach your goals.
  • Work professionally and confidentially.
  • Value you as an individual.
  • Work closely with the important people in your life.
  • Build upon your strengths.
  • Help you understand your mental health.
  • Help you identify behaviours that cause problems for you at home or school.
  • Help you learn new skills and strategies to manage your feelings, thoughts and behaviour.
