Referral Process

The Circle of Security Parenting Programme is suitable for any parent with children who may be interested in understanding and improving their relationship with their children or may be struggling with managing challenging behaviours.

Access
Access can be self/whānau or via Community mental health teams, Maternal Mental Health Team, Oranga Tamariki, CADS Parenting and Pregnancy Services and community organisations.
Caregivers must have children in their care or have regular weekly visitation to be able to participate in the programme.

Description

Circle of Security - Parenting programme is designed to help parents/caregivers to strengthen their relationship with their child(ren).

This is an 8-week programme (during school terms) that runs for 2 hours each week and covers topics such as: understanding your child's emotional world, supporting your child's ability to manage emotions, enhancing the development of child's self-esteem, and honouring the desire for all children to feel secure.
